CSI-Style INVESTIGATIVE TENSION INSTRUMENTAL CUES 1 out of 3

So I submitted 3 cues and got 1 forward. I am stoked! This is my first forward since I started doing this seriously at the start of the year. I got good feedback on the other two (along the lines of "really close, but need more melodic development"). Having a forward is so inspiring, it tells me "you can do this!", both from a compositional aspect as well as production quality. This was the fourth investigative cue I have ever written. Now to rework the other two and write some more! Woo hoo!

Melodic development might be one of the most common reasons for returns. Best thing you can do is go to forums.taxi.com and listen to other forwarded tracks to see what they did melodically.

Nice...I get a bunch of "close" returns also. I log into this forum to listen to what gets forwarded and see how my track differs and if there is something in the forwarded track that I can apply/use in my tracks. I like to think that I am always a student and that I don't know everything there is to know about how to do this.
