well, music was was fun while we had it. What do you think?

A cozy place to hang out and discuss all things music.

by the way that guy is one of the biggest violators of copyright on youtube, and even goes on big rants about how "they're taking my videos down! they're blockers! it should be free to use!" ..all while he violates copyright.
This comment illustrates a complete lack of understanding of fair use. It is one thing to post a complete song and try to monetize it. It is another thing t use music as examples to teach musical concepts.

Adam Neely summarizes the concept very well at this part of his video: https://youtu.be/nryFmUjtwEY?t=232

Here is another fine example of how bad copyright claims have gotten. This video is four years old. Listen to what he says, and think clearly while doing so.

Adam Neely also violates copyright.
Two thieves making excuses for the other.
Literally on a forum dedicated to MUSIC SYNCHRONIZATION, I would expect better than those opinions.

And I would expect a better understanding of the provisions for fair use that allow for the use of copyrighted material for educational or transformative purposes.

I suppose some can argue with the definition (and probably will) here's the first one that came up in search:

fair use noun : a legal doctrine that portions of copyrighted materials may be used without permission of the copyright owner provided the use is fair and reasonable, does not substantially impair the value of the materials, and does not curtail the profits reasonably expected by the owner . . .

So then I asked AI and got this response:

As an AI language model, I don't have a personal opinion, but the "fair use" doctrine is a legal principle that allows the use of copyrighted material for specific purposes without the permission of the copyright owner. This includes purposes such as criticism, commentary, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, research, and parody. Whether the "fair use" doctrine is fair or not is a matter of debate, with some arguing that it is too broad and potentially harmful to the interests of copyright holders, while others argue that it is essential to preserving the freedom of speech and promoting creativity and innovation in the arts and sciences. Ultimately, the question of whether the "fair use" doctrine is fair depends on one's perspective and the specific circumstances of each case.

So there lol

No matter how sophisticated and quickly AI can 'spit out' an assembly of gathered and programmed and rearranged information, it can NEVER CREATE something on its own.
The old "G.I.-G.O." thing still applies. And if you don't like how the machine is working, unplug it from its power source.

What Craiyon came up with when I prompted it with "fun songs":
