Did somebody say "DUDUK instrumentals"...?

Post by funsongs » Mon Jun 12, 2023 9:38 am

Well, well - if it wasn't for our amigo, Andre Stepanian (pardon the SHOUT OUT) - I wouldn't even know what a duduk is.
Night Skies

Andre Stepanian: improv solo for guitar
added instruments (assembled by Funsongs Music)
Peter Rahill: mandolin (San Diego, CA)
Steve Peavey: bass (Nashville, TN)
Alexander Fox: percussion (Miami, FL)
Ilia Mazia: duduks (Jerusalem, Israel)

Very cool music, a wonderful blend of instruments.

Thanks for the reminder about this one... I have a duduk, just pulled it out of my toybox and plan on submitting (if my embouchure lets me). :)

Wow! Paulie, you are probably the only person on this forum to have this rare instrument… curious to hear y what you come up with!

Thanks... credit really does go to the hired guns with their talent & skills - for each of them to come up with their part to complement Andre's guitar work.
I got to play the role of puzzle-put-er-together-er.
TBH - in order to cut this down to the typical 2:00 CUE FORMAT, I'm gonna have another go at an edit/re-mix... the bass sounds too hot to these old-guy ears.
It'll be a delicate 'surgery' to not lose the vibe in making this more end-user friendly for Andre to pitch... someday, sometime, somewhere - if it fits the bill.

Cheers.

If you plan on submitting this to the listing, you need to remove all of the instruments excet for the Duduk. From the listing: ""We are looking for tracks that are very sparse and measured in that the Duduk is the only element in them."

Thanks - not intended for that listing. This project was done a while back, just for fun(songs) - not for any listing; Andre let me 'run with it'.
It was a big surprise to even see a listing with the word DUDUK in it.
