I'm back for round #3 w/ Taxi. I let my membership lapse last fall as I had a number of conflicting adventures, new role, primary DAW workstation died (I'm still angry w/ Dell), and just life. Still did writing and recording, with others too, but certainly noticed once the creative pressure was gone, the output was diminished. =P
That said, signed back up today, so technically this will be my third round w/ Taxi. Still will need to push for that first forward, and finally hit those goals I set out to achieve, but here's what I learned to date.:
Year 1 - I thought my music and recordings were much better than they actually were. Once I stepped over that line, I really started to create better work and become stronger (and more focused) at arrangements. =)
Year 2 - Made some good progress, and most importantly listened to my own work much more critically and objectively.
Year 3 - (well pre-year three) Upping my production game. Better w/ tools, and setup a far better mixing environment.
Anyway, thanks for reading along here. It's good to jump back into the fold. I'm exited at round three!
