IMHO $25 Behringer headphones are likely fine for tracking but for mixing I would always reccommend buying the best studio headphones you can. I just checked back to the orignal review of the Sennheisers I got for my own studio and it turns out I've had them over 20 years and they have outlasted pretty much everything else in my studio - Monitors - Controller Keyboards - Computers - Any piece of softwre I owned then. My point is that if you plan to do any serious work on them it's worth investing in good ones.

I remembered seeing a good round up review in Sound on Sound, turns out it was 13 years ago but quite a few of the headphones tested are still in production and a couple of them are significantly cheaper than they were then. These are all from good quality manufacturers and likely to give good service over a long period with replacable parts being available on the better models. Some of them are very reasonably priced.

I agree, but I wont really be using them to mix. I will keep in mind the Senhheiser for actual mixing. (thanks for the advice) I am so used to my monitors I get pretty true mixes on them. I have Kali LP-6 and they are really clean and really accurate .

A lot of headphones these days come with a replaceable cable that you insert or plug into the actual headphone, so if you step on the cable and it ruins the headphones, this may be a good option for you. I had a pair that got caught on something and ruined the cable, not a big deal, just replaced the cable and saved the headphones.
Which model, please?
We have Audio-Technica ATH-ANC7b that have that feature. Constantly pulling the 1/8" cable out by accident, no harm done, reinsert and on your way.

UPDATE!! The Beringer headphones came!! They are ok for the price, a little bassy but I think that is cause I am used to my old tascam sets that had very little bass. when compared to my monitors they are close but not a good ref. They will work great for tracking. also the high end on them are a little tinny and thin ( like cheap earbuds lol) but again you get what ya pay for($25)over all they are built really nice and are durable. they also cup your ears nice and cancel some noise .

Pretty impressed from what I can see. I think the thing is (and I'm not expert) is if you do use headphones, irrespective of what they are (I use DT 990 PRO's, which are great), is to switch between different sources. From what I understand some headphones include hardware to improve sound, (Beats for example), but they don't give you an accurate representation of what it actually sounds like out the box. I always check my mixes on my DT 990's, a pair of shit headphones my monitors and lastly through my phone (as that's where loads of people listen).

Personally for $25 I'd get a pair just so I could listen to a track with a different feel that others I have.

I tell ya what. I been using them a few days now and they are actually really cool. when I first tried them I wasn't really sold, but they grew on me. they are great as another perspective. They are awesome for hearing what is going to tape verse what's in the room. I hear sounds that are not actually going to tape in the other headphones cause they don't cup your ears as nice . these block out the outside sound really good. I do as you stated about playing it on different sources also. I use my car, etc. my theory is if it is awesome on my monitors and sounds good on a phone it is!! LOL like ya said, people listen on phones and small devices nowadays . Not a lot of folks have cool systems like back in the day. it is a shame cause they aren't experiencing the full tambour of music that way.

....and don't forget, if you want to save time running outside to the car, or save money on monitor switching systems, there's always this...
https://audified.com/products/mixchecker-pro/

Nothing is perfect, including speakers, headphones and rooms (and Mixchecker, and speaker correction software), but I reckon its the big squidgy organic lump between the transducers (us) that's the most unreliable component, not to mention our often compromised hearing ability. We're so untrusting as well as untrustworthy, that we want the perfect listening environment plus a selection of imperfect ones, then use reference tracks for comparison, and after all that can still get it wrong (or is that just me?)
you are so right!! lol Getting it where it sounds great is a journey. I don't think any artist is ever truly satisfied.
