Bandzoogle is free?
Well... it was back when I had one.
That's OK, Peter. You only "missed it by thaaat much"
Well, dang Coral - if you're aiming at Country (classic does it for me, not 'contemporary' i.e. a hybrid of anything goes: Pop to Southern Rock) -cgibson wrote: ↑Mon Sep 11, 2023 7:35 amThanks, I honestly was hoping for country but I have not heard that so I guess not lol! I did just write a country song and I know the one I'm working on now is country. The fellow I'm working with at the studio is expensive so this won't be ongoing. I'm thinking just for this demo. Then hopefully I can meet some people to collaborate with. Thank you for all the tips, it's much appreciated!
Hicgibson wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 7:39 amWell I got a different version yestarday of the song, just acoustic guitar, vocals, bass, the doubling of the voice is gone and the electric guitar is only played during the bridge. I'll put it on here for a listen to see if you guys like it better? As much as I want it to be country I do have think it's folk after listening again. I wrote a really nice actual country song I can't wait to record!
Pop, Singer-Songwriter, Rock, Rap, Hip-Hop, etc. Just read through the Taxi listings. It will be pretty obvious what Film/TV libraries and supervisors are looking for. They generally are looking for music similar to what's on the charts today though they do look for some other things as well. Every listing has reference tracks. That tells you what the targets are.cgibson wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 8:38 amThanks so much for that information Casey! To be perfectly honest these are things I have to figure out. I would love to pitch to country artists, but I'd kind of like to be the artist, this is something I have to figure out. I would also love to pitch to tv/film. These are huge ideas that I realize will take time and a ton of practice! What are the popular genres for tv/film?
