SoulWriters "University" Songwriting Group!

Hello folks! I thought this might interest some of the folks out here on taxi. For the past decade I have been running a fantastic weekly on-line songwriting group called "Soulwriters University". We have upwards of 225 registered members from all over the world. Many hail from Austin TX where the group was originally conceived. We welcome all levels from beginner to professional! Many of the people who participate would blow your mind - we have such amazing talent and creativity in our group, across ALL genres. We run three 8 week sessions throughout the year. We recruit one volunteer to lead the group for the session, and they put out a "prompt" each week which everyone needs to include in your lyrics. Other than that there are very few rules. We post our weekly submissions to SoundCloud, log our SoundCloud links in our web site, and then we make a concerted effort to listen to each other and offer our comments and support. For me this is one of the most fun aspects, listening to all of the amazing things everyone submits from week to week. It is a really supportive and diverse community of songwriters of all levels, and moreover, it's a really great way to keep the creative juices flowing. For me, I've been using it as an excuse to take aim at taxi requests on a weekly basis and just keep writing and producing music. I just thought I'd put the feelers out in this community as we are always welcoming in new members and always enjoy hearing what they bring!
