Against my better judgement, I will chime in here ....
Mark simply calls them as he sees them...I can tell you that he certainly isn't a fan of some of my work either, but that is what this forum is for....
I mean what good is this forum if everyone kisses your ass and tells you that you are the next John Lennon?? Listen to criticism and learn from it, or ignore it, or a combination of both - it is your perogative.

I like me, my goals and what I do and everyone else's like or dislike is just extra noise.

On the contary. If you're not doing something other people like then those goals you set yourself are not attainable.

The billboard is literally a popularity contest. You liking your own stuff is immaterial. Markets always win.

What the markets or the billboard charts or the universe and even what Taxi does or doesn't do is completely beyond my control.

It's not completely beyond your control. It's mainly a result of hard work + some level of natural talent.

I set my own goals to make my music available to everyone and anyone online and that's what I am going to do.

So are 100,000 others on Spotify every day. Most of them never attract more than a few listeners unless it's really really good. There are milions of sub par songs online mine included from way back.

you need to find and chase your own goals.

I have worked tirelessly towards my own goals and am well on the way to achieving them as documented in great detail every year in the success forum.

Sometimes I wonder if it is even for me, so I understand where you are coming from....
There is NOTHING wrong with being your own creative person that makes music on your terms, and writing and recording stuff to share with the world.... NOTHING WRONG AT ALL
But with that said, TAXI is mostly about sync now, and that is the purpose of these forums, especially a peer to peer review forum. You are going to have to listen to the opinions of folks who do THIS for a living, and most of them have been at it for a very long time, and have had some success at it. Mark and Casey set aside their valuable time to opine on here, and I think that's great, because I need to learn WTF I am doing in this new industry! I wish you the best man, just do "you"
