Cover Song for brief

Hi,

I'm submitting a cover of "The First Noel". TAXI # S240602MS
Do I need to change the name to register it with my PRO if it's a cover? It doesn't mention it in the brief.
Someone said I would have to name it something like "Bev's Noel"

Don't register anything with your PRO. In the event this song gets signed by a library, it's the library's job to register the song and they will come up with any alternate titling it needs. In many cases, the library simply applies a prefix with the library's initials at the beginning of the track - for example, if the library was "ABC Music" (totally made that one up) they might title your version "ABC The First Noel" or something like that.

But bottom line, do not register the song with a PRO on your own, unless specifically requested by the library once they've decided to accept the track.
