I didn't 'cheat' and read other comments.




For what it's worth - the approach of very little or NONE AT ALL Intro has had a growing appeal to me.
Leaving the instrumental noodles to offset and set up the changes between Verses/Chorus/Bridge
accomplishes much: gets the listener right into the story, and soon-after the hook/Chorus.
Sprinkling the instrument stuff like ear-candy bits in between just TASTES better to my ears.
Also, whoever said
"Your best 5-minute song is the 2 and 1/2-minute one that gets them to hit REPLAY!"
had some pearls of wisdom right there.
