New mix up!!! Your feedback has been SO helpful! (Same bat-channel, same bat-link).

https://s.disco.ac/kderzxuowtai

From the producer:
I think the mastering software may have been over compressing so I backed off of that a tad. I brought down the vocals, rolled off some of the reverb so it wasn't too swimmy. I'd like to keep the reverb on the BGV's because it feels like a nice contrast with the dryer lead vocal.
Intro cut in half and a few other tweaks.

Thanks!
:-) Casey

Bump! 8-) 8-)
Getting ready to decide on final acceptance from the producer. Any thoughts now that the mix is updated?

Thanks!
Casey

I think it's working Casey. One thing I'd try, might not work, but since it's such a mid/low mid heavy arrangement I'd be curious to hear some more "air" in the lead vox, maybe cut some of the redundant frequencies that are competing with the guitar, piano, pads and all that.

But as is i still think it's working.

I just listened from a Not-Producer standpoint and I love the maj7 to root melody opening! That interval idea in the melody through the song just knocked it out of the park! I enjoyed it a lot and it transports the emotion you wanted. (+ I can't get it out of my head now!!!) As I said I didn't listen for production flaws at all. So thumbs up and good luck with it!

Thanks! While he is not playing on the track here, all the music credit goes to the very talented Taxi member, Brent Isom. 8-) I wrote lyrics around his hook line idea. Collaboration is great!

Best,
Casey

GREAT track...i especially love the verse melodies....I read a bunch of comments on here, and many are great..However, didn't Casey specifically ask for Production/Mix Feedback? And my other question is that if a 3rd party is doing the mixing and mastering, why do you need this feedback Casey? Are you passing it onto him??

Exactly. It's finalized now but I was giving feedback to the "him". :D
