Mark,
I agree it would be nice to have a system like that. There are a couple of realities though. I think it's possible that sometimes, a library doesn't listen to the forwarded tracks because they get music from many sources and by the time they get the forwards, they have what they needed. We've also seen times when a library doesn't listen to tracks for 1-3 years (people have been contacted years after a forward). Or they listen, did nothing, and came back years later. It would be reasonable to suggest YES, NO, HOLD FOR FUTURE as choices but...

Not all issues can be solved with technology. Adding buttons to a form is easy. But since the beginning, no matter what Taxi does, there will be angry members screaming at them and calling them a skam (intentionally misspelled). Changes solve one problem and create others.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see more info available. This would be a good subject for Michael to discuss on a Taxi TV.

Best,
:D Casey

I mean technically you could do the whole bit between Taxi- the member & the library to streamline the entire process.

Imagine if the members PRO info etc was embedded into their profile, the library listens to the forwarded tracks and can press a button to check the member has all their ducks in a row. You could include an onboarding process with the libraries standard terms all automated and an API to their internal platform for deliverables etc.

It would also show Taxi & the member if those tracks had been listened to which would help Taxi weed out non-responsive libraries etc.

The other thing that bugs me is we never know if we are applying to listings for publishers we already have a direct relationship with so it would be good if there was some kind of code in the background that flagged this up

Hey Mark, so sorry I missed this, wow, I didn't know you had such a system with your already existing library clients. Just goes to show that I think something like that could come into existence with Taxi, although I know things are always more complicated than what they seem.

I'm sorry I never saw this back in March, how have things been going for you? Have you had any more luck or forwards?

Whoops! Been a while since I've been to the forums.
Lol no. I submit once a week. I'll get there one of these days. I seem to be more motivated now. I remember my first placement with another company a long time ago. I remembered what I was using and what my mindset was. It was, "just make a good track. Keep doing that." That's what I'm going to do. I knew my software. I know myself. I will be successful.
