Hi Casey,

At first listen, nothing pops out is being out of place. The mix sounds pretty good to me... maybe the drums could kick just a bit... I don't necessarily mean make them louder, just give that kick that's happening every two bars a little more umphf.. during that first verse..

Second listen: yeah, the mix is just a bit.. too careful to me.. Love the treatment of the drums.... The vocal could use a tiny delay or reverb ambience, particularly at the beginning.. I'm hearing it as a ballad, so it could be just a bit more lush... not much more, but just a bit..

Third listen: why not duplicate the acoustic, pan hard left and right, and give each a slightly different treatment... (be mindful of phasing issues if you duplicate the part..) Right now the guitar is just behind the voice on the right(?).. why not have it behind, but on either side?? Ah, I get it - the synth is on the left and the guitar is on the right-ish... Maybe still pan guitars hard left and right, scoop the bottom slightly out of the synth(s), and have those more centered behind the voice...? This might give it a bit of a fuller sound... Just a thought..

Great work as always Casey!

Thanks for the distraction :D (I'm struggling to focus a bit today).

Old men, new material, what a concept:) My usually unhelpful two cents. No drums at the intro for build purposes. (great singer) Less busy drums until the second chorus.
Different lyrics second part of chorus (non-repeating) carry on
Thankfully, while growing old is compulsory, growing up remains optional!

Nice song! The acoustic guitar level is a little low in the mix would also say pan the acoustic guitar hard left and right.

Vocals are too loud in the begining - they are fine once the fuller arrangement kicks in

Bass is a little muddy for me

Could use some more sectional contrast

I think it's all pretty solid - no deal breakers but the mix is a bit vanilla, doesn't really make the most of any little "moments " that could make it cooler

New version uploaded. Same bat link, same bat channel.

Took out the drums from the intro. Great idea, Feaker!!! :D It really improves the sectional contrast from opening chorus to verse 1.
Other tweaks to follow. I agree, Mark, that the vocal in the intro is too loud. Even more so without the drums there.

Thanks, all!
