Couple of forwards

Post by superkons » Tue Oct 15, 2024 5:46 am

Nice to see a couple of forwards for two totally different genres, one of which may be considered my forte and the other one is clearly not (but apparently I have improved!)

1. Lots of HIP-HOP/ORCHESTRAL HYBRID INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a Great Music Licensing Company with lots of Film and TV placements
Please submit well-produced Hip-Hop Instrumentals (and/or Cues) that feature Orchestral motifs and instrumentation! Your submissions should have excellent productions, hard-hitting beats, solid arrangements, 808s, great compositions, and lots of forward motion and interest throughout. A nice blend of Hip-Hop and Orchestral instrumentation in the general stylistic ballpark of the references will work best. Please be sure that all virtual instruments or samples you use are high-quality and not dated-sounding

What was forwarded was a collaboration tune I did with my mate Ryaan, called "Last Seconds Countdown". I have to thank him for this forward as I have been on a constant learning journey when it comes to hip-hop and orchestral stuff!

2. Lots of ORIGINAL, TRADITIONAL JAPANESE INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a European Production Music Library with Global Distribution and tons of placements in Film, TV, and TV commercials
Please submit well-crafted and original Instrumentals and/or Instrumental Cues with a traditional Japanese sound and style. Authentic-sounding motifs and rhythms, culturally rich melodies, and dynamic arrangements with forward motion and interest are all needed for this opportunity. Traditional Japanese instrumentation that's in the general ballpark of the references will work best, such as Koto, Shamisen, Shakuhachi, Taiko, etc.

Making Japanese (and traditional music in general really) is always super fun for me, so I am very glad that "Tea Ceremony" made it into the bunch that got sent across to the library!

That's great news Marco, congrats! Always encouraging to get a forward in a genre that's somewhat new territory. Keep 'em coming!

Cheers Erik! I have been doing some hip-hop for quite some time, actually (Urban Dramedy has been one of my best earners so far), but hip-hop orchestral hybrid has been indeed a different beast to tame, ta for the encouragement!

Thanks as always, dearest Andre! However, you already have set foot into the hip-hop territory occasionally, or am I mistaken??

Yes I did a Latin Hip-Hop album with Gregg Carrozza that got signed but he did all the hip-hop beats and I did the guitars. Although I listen to hop-hop I haven't taken a deep dive to writing beats yet.

Indeed, and I am certain that has been a great educational experience as well. Collaborating with my fellow "beatmaker" is what has been for me in that department :)
