Gothic Americana

Post by eeoo » Tue Jan 21, 2025 7:27 pm

Working on a collection of Gothic Americana, how's that for a niche genre? Just wanted a quick sanity check on this mix if you all have 3 minutes to spare.
Thanks!

Solid mix. I'd kick the bass up 2 dB but that's just personal preference. Nice tune.

Hey Ethan
Nice! Sounds good to me. :D Yea, maybe up the bass a little bit as was suggested. I don't know what "gothic" Americana is. Do you just sing dressed in black?

Best,
:) Casey

Yeah at least I try and make it sound like I'm dressed in black! It's pretty niche but we've actually had pretty good success with it, this will be our third album of vocal songs under basically the same genre - Dark Americana, Southern Gothic, Gothic Americana etc.

Thanks for the listen Casey!
