Awesome track, Matt, one would think you've written stuff like this before. ;-)

Just wondering; am I detecting a similar structure/development as in your King-Queen-Jack-Ace videos here? I had been wondering if those apply/work with instrumentals as well.

Hope it gets picked up soon!

Best wishes,

Paul
Hi Paul! +1 - I am also interested in the answer to your question and was wondering whether King-Queen-Jack-Ace would also be the appropriate structure when a listing asks for "lots of forward momentum" or whether "forward momentum" calls for a different order in terms of King, Queen etc.
Cheers,
Matt

YES, you're right, lol. Pretty much ALL of my cues use some variation of my tried-and-true King / Queen / Jack / Ace format. Sometimes I move the pieces around a bit, or even include what I call a "Low Ace" intro (and then sometimes circle back to that Low Ace before the final "High Ace" section. It's definitely a tweakable format, but I use it all the time in some form or another.

Now, as for instrumentals..... are you talking about long-winded instrumental music? If so, I can't speak on behalf of those, as the only instrumentals I ever write are short cues. So your question is beyond my pay grade, hahaha.

~~Matt
