if your track is forwarded what may be the longest it would take to hear back?

A cozy place to hang out and discuss all things music.

Sorry in advance as i am sure there is probably already an answer for this somewhere. Have had a few forwards recently.
From what I know Forwards guarantee nothing. But generally if your music is forwarded to a library. How quick or slow do they normally get back to? I would assume if they
are hungry for music, it would be rather swift. Or then im totally wrong and it can be months??? Just curious about this and others experiences. Obviously dont want to wait forever with some responses and move on to other opportunties. Many thanks guys!

CD is right--response times vary widely.

But one thing you absolutely should not do is wait around. Absolutely just move on to the next project--be that an album, Taxi listing, whatever.

And you also don't need to hold those forwarded tracks in reserve waiting for a library to contact you. Keep pitching them to other listings if you think they fit. Just like there's no guarantee the library will reach out, they also understand there's no guarantee the track will still be available, especially if they wait months get in touch.

thanks so much to the both of you for your responses. Wow up to 5 years haha. Man thats crazy! Music gets dated in that time. Just strange eh, you get libraries asking and seeking stuff, so you would assume that they would also have some sense of urgency. But i know, this is a weird world this music industry and works in mysterious ways =)
So anything and everything is possible hehe. Cheers guys!
