Hi guys,
Took a brief break as I was hitting burn out and the instrumentals section was a tad sparse, that said I've had a swing at the above listing.
I was hoping you could offer some feedback for the link at the bottom. The references offered are very varied, and the listing said all types of blues, so I just went for something Clapton-esque but slightly more updated.
Here are some references:

Thank you in advance!

Re: BLUES INSTRUMENTALS and/or INSTRUMENTAL CUES (in a wide range of styles)
Hi,
Glad to see you're back on the horse!
Generally, I like your track and the mix feels pretty good to me (maybe a touch more forward on the lead guitar for me, and a touch more room on the snare). IMHO it would help to improve the tightness though. The drums sound like they were played live (well done) but they sound slightly loose with the bass and it sticks out at such a slow tempo. Its right through the track, but there's also some loose timing on the snare (eg at 1:09). I know its blues and it goes against the grain (so some might be horrified
) but I'd suggest quantising the drums and bass (or at least moving them closer to the grid) so the timing feels solid from start to end. Finally, If I was getting even more subjectively nit-picky I'd say watch that the guitar bends hit closer to pitch (eg 1:53) and Melodyne might help you there, and that the final guitar chord doesn't sound grafted on after the event.
Best of luck with the submission
.

Yeah, I just kind became utterly exhausted, doing a fulltime job, writing music and being a father is tough. Thanks so much for the brilliant feedback (as ever), totally get what you're saying, the snares at those points were actually added by me, haha, because I thought it might sound robotic, but listening back you're absolutely right. The bass was live, but to be honest I should have done it on Kontakt, as it makes the quantisation easier, not sure why I didn't, easy fix though! I'll have another swing at that bend as well, my fingers were hurting a bit after all that noodling.
You're an absolute gent, really appreciate it.
(good point with the refs, will sort)
