Dramatic tension cue - feedback appreciated

Post by Pvgeldrop » Sat Mar 29, 2025 8:22 am

Hi everyone,

I just finished a cue for this Dispatch-listing:

-------------------

Lots of DRAMATIC TENSION INSTRUMENTAL CUES are needed by a prominent Music Licensing Company that works with big-name TV Networks and Streaming services. They are constantly landing placements for TAXI members, and they're currently on the hunt for new material to feature in exciting upcoming opportunities!

This Library is on the hunt for Instrumental Cues in ALL Tempos in the general stylistic wheelhouse of the following references:

The Bachelorette Australia - Season 6 (from 2:51 - 3:10)

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills - Season 8 (from 0:37 - 1:04)

Bachelor in Paradise - Season 3 (from 0:23 - 1:19)

Please submit well-crafted Instrumental Cues with a tense and dramatic sound that could work for a variety of sync opportunities! Your submissions should include dramatic motifs, engaging rhythms, mood-setting atmospheric effects, and plenty of forward-moving development (layering instruments in and out) as your piece progresses. Instrumentation in the general stylistic ballpark of the references will work best, such as strings, synth plucks, pulsing bass, drums, atmospheric pads, etc. Please be sure any virtual instruments or samples you use are high quality and not dated-sounding.

NOTE: This Company is looking for both a Full Mix, as well as a minimalistic version of your track. You only have to send the Full Mix now! If contacted by the Company, please be ready to provide a "minimalistic mix" at a moment's notice, per their requirements.

All submissions should be roughly 1.5 to 2 minutes in length (give or take). Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings will work best. Please do NOT copy the referenced material in any way, shape, or form. Use them only as a general guide for tempo, texture, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of any other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

------------------

I'd appreciate some fresh ears on this, as I always dread the 'needs more development'-feedback. Does this track fit the listing? Point Of No Return

Thanks in advance to anyone taking the time to listen and respond!

Best wishes,

Paul

Geez. I'm an idiot. I had my DAW still set to export to a mono downmix from a voice over project.. so sorry! Just updated the track to proper interleaved on my Taxi profile if anyone's still interested in having a quick listen: Point Of No Return

Sorry! Amateur hour here. :D
