I honestly didn't know how to name this topic and I hope I posted it in the right forum so please forgive me for this eye catching title haha
My name is Goran Dragas and I have been working as a trailer music composer and, by chance, also in production music for almost 13-14 years. I think it is 14 years years, but my mind doesn't work like it used to, so better to be safe than sorry and post 13-14 years.

I think I was part of Taxi community when I started out ages ago, but I didn't know anything about composing at that time and my music was really bad (and that's me being soft on myself here).
After I became a little bit better, I completely focused myself on the trailer genre all the way back in 2012-2013 when it was not that much crowded and it was a fun "new" thingy you can potentially earn some money with. What I didn't count on was me completely falling in love with it and absolutely loving to do sound design, as well as making those big, epic backends that make your heads melt.
I don't like bragging around and I always try to have my feet on the ground, but since most of you don't know me, I have to do this just so you can see my background before asking me questions so I can validate I'm actually me and I've actually had some placements.

During me becoming better at it, I've had a pleasure of working for almost all of the big trailer music publishers out there: Audiomachine, Position Music, Really Slow Motion, Colossal Trailer Music, Dos Brains... you name it, I've probably worked with them.
This led me to have tons and tons of placements in big, blockbuster movie trailers, TV shows and games. Some of them from the top of my head: Spiderman: Homecoming, Alien: Resurrection, Dr. Strange, Annihilation, Logan, Pirates of the Caribbean 5, The Mummy, Pacific Rim 2, Blair Witch, Conjuring 2, The Orville, Valerian, The Expanse, The Quiet Place I, II and the third prequel, Diablo IV, Arcane, Star Wars: Rogue One, Star Trek: Discovery, Handmaid’s Tale, London Has Fallen, Call of Duty, Game of Thrones, The Purge and many, many more. I can't remember all of them, but there were a lot - some trailers, some TV spots.
I also, even though I never really did production music for TV, have had and I'm still having a lot of my music used on TV on almost all continents around and there's a huge chance you have heard it if you're watching TV. There are so many shows involved I won't post about it since the list would be very long since its in the hundreds. So yes, even though I didn't do it, my big, epic, dramatic trailer music was used and it's still being used on TV and streaming these days.
I know there are people here much older than me and probably with much more success, but for almost 15 years this is my main source of income and I have never had to work anything other than this so I guess this counts as a victory

The reason why I'm doing Ask Me Anything is because I really believe in giving back to community. Though the years whenever I've helped someone, it returned 10 times fold and knowing how it was for me when I started out, I believe the market is really big and there's room for everyone here. I'm also an admin of a group (sorry, only Croatian language) with almost 950 members where I share all the tips and tricks of getting into the business and this led to numerous people from that region signing for some of the biggest ones out there like Warner Chappell, BMG etc. So yes, this makes me more happy than all thise placements knowing I've changed someone's life.
Right now, I'm not so much into composing, but rather in mixing and mastering (hit me up if you need it) since I'm also the owner of a publishing company called InfraSound Music. Don't worry, this is not my scam of trying to find new composers and, to be completely honest, the ceiling to working with us is really high and we already have amazing composers covering almost all genres out there, but just so you know, I know a thing or two about publishing also.
Anyways, sorry for the big introduction. If you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer them if I know, can or NDA allows me.

Let's begin!
PS: This was all written on my phone and from my head without using chatgpt. I guess that's a win on its own! Haha
