Does anyone remember or have.......???????
Hi gang,
Does anyone remember or have access to an article that Laskow wrote about how to retire using library music and Taxi as your way?
I had it saved for motivation, but I got away from it and now I cant find it again. Maybe someone knows where to look or remembers that article from possibly a newsletter in the past. It could possibly be 4-6 years old. maybe?
Any help is apprciated!
Thanks again!

Haven't seen the article. pretty sure there is a Taxi TV episode about the same thing though.
I do remember thinking it wasn't very realistic for most people , although there are of course always one or two who do super well that confirm such things are possible.

Yeah, I know it was along shot but I wanna say the article was called, "This is how you do it." But yeah, long shot anyways. Thanks.

Best method is to dope a few pints of Matt Vander Boegh's blood!!
Of course, you'll have to buy all new shirts for your bulging muscles, but that's not a bad thing!

HA! Casey, too funny!!! But if you want a pint of Vander Boegh blood, the going rate is $45K per pint, plus the cost of additional sleeveless t-shirts, lol.
Patrick, I don't recall a specific article about this topic, but it's something that Michael has gone through many times on Taxi TV. Though, those lengthy 90 minute episodes might not achieve the same goal you're looking for in having something printed out that you can quickly look at for motivation.
So, I'm really no help to you at all, hahaha. You may want to call the Taxi office directly - it's possible that the front office staff could dig that article out of a file from their computer with a few keyword search terms. Or maybe even put you on the phone with Laskow himself.

Re: Does anyone remember or have.......???????
From memory it goes something like this :
Let’s say you start earning $1,000 from music in Year 1, then increase that by another $1,000 each year ($2,000 in Year 2, $3,000 in Year 3, etc).
How long would it take to hit $1 million in total earnings?
The answer: 45 years.
That’s because the total adds up like this:
$1,000 + $2,000 + $3,000 + … + $45,000 = $1,035,000
So if you're increasing consistently by a grand a year, you’d crack the million mark in year 45.

I believe I remember this article or webcast. I did my best to find it but I came up empty.
As I recall, Michael discussed a model developed by a financial planner / composer / music business owner, who demonstrated how your royalty income could in effect be like a 401K with annual compounding.
That person may have also presented the topic at a past Road Rally.
You might contact Taxi directly and ask for help in finding it.
As for me, I'm interested in that Vander Boegh blood for $45K ... just saying, results guaranteed?
