Mix Feedback Please

Post by DBarnett » Wed Jul 16, 2025 8:11 am

Hi! It's been a while since I've been on this forum, but I always find great advice and songs here. This is an mp3 of a song I'm working with a friend on. Your advice would be appreciated, Thanks

Hey Dave - It's a good clean and balanced mix, nice! I feel like as is, it's kinda "demo-ish", like a blank canvas waiting for some sauce. Some things to try maybe? Like a room verb you can send the rhythm section to to make them a little more cohesive. Since everything is so clean and polite I feel like it could use some character, maybe some light distortion or some tape simulation. Just a coupla thoughts. Nice tune!
