Feedback Request

Post by davidr » Thu Aug 14, 2025 12:56 am

Hello! I am responding to Taxi Listing S250831HX for a chamber music instrumental (Listing is shown below). My track is for a piano trio (piano, violin, cello) in a classical style:
Allegro Impetuoso
Does anyone have suggestions for improvement? THANK YOU!

Lots of CHAMBER MUSIC INSTRUMENTALS are needed by a busy Music Licensing Firm with a long track record of sync placements in high-profile TV series!

This Company would love to find Instrumentals that could fit on a playlist with the following examples:

"TROUT QUINTET - SCHERZO : PRESTO" by FRANZ SCHUBERT

"String Quartet No. 62 in C Major, Op. 76, No. 3, Hob.III:77, "Emperor": II. Poco adagio, cantabile" by Kodaly Quartet

"String Quartet, Op. 76, No. 3" by Joseph Haydn

"String Quartet g-moll, Op.10" by Claude Debussy

"Beethoven: Violin Sonata No. 9 in A Major, Op. 47 "Kreutzer": I. Adagio sostenuto – Presto" by Itzhak Perlman

Please submit Chamber Music Instrumentals that highlight expressive, lush compositions on traditional Classical instruments! Whether your pieces are delicate and meditative or dramatic and cinematic, they should bring a sense of space, depth, and sonic adventure in the Classical style! Strong melodies, Classical music-flavored motifs, excellent musicianship, and arrangements with plenty of forward development are all recommended for this pitch. Instrumentation that reflects the traditional chamber ensemble will work best here (think piano, cello, violin, viola, double bass, and perhaps elements of clarinet, flute, or subtle harp, if used tastefully). All virtual instruments or samples must be top-quality and indistinguishable from the real deal. Original Compositions only, please.

All submissions should be about 2 to 4 minutes long, give or take. Non-faded, buttoned/stinger endings are strongly recommended. Do NOT copy the references in any way, shape, or form. Use it only as a general guide for tempo, tone, and overall vibe. Do NOT submit any material with unauthorized samples of ANY other artists’ music, sounds, or any other form of media. Broadcast Quality is needed.

Thanks ... Evidently, making the track public is not sufficient. So I've uploaded the track to Google Drive and modified the link. :)

Sounds like a classical trio! Composition and arrangement match up well with the references.

I'm wondering if you are using any live instruments here?

No live instruments ... only sampled and modeled instruments. I guess that's a compliment -- thank you!

Nice composition and convincing realism from the instruments. My only thought is in the section between 45s and 1m perhaps back the violin peaks off just a hint so that they don't detract from the piano's turn at the melody. Good luck with the submission :) ,

Excellent suggestion, telefunkin -- I have reduced the violin (and cello slightly) to allow the piano melody come through. Thanks!
