Is Creativity Exhausting?

I over commit and over obsess. I recently have taken a week "off" from writing/recording.I have a co-writer and he had to leave town for a week so I was left to finish some recordings we are working on. I cant quit when it comes to production. I dont sleep I lose focus at my job and then the production suffers.I realized i needed a break when I noticed that the bass line I just recorded was almost a full half step out of tune with the guitar tracks!! Geez. How I didnt notice this while playing I dont know.Time to back off and fix this crap. Fatigue can destroy your body and your creativity.
