OMG! Dont I know this! I have been in music since 5. It was always my second language per say. But a fairly good career as an electrician and project manager sure interrupted my pathways. I took 6 years off. (not completely) When I got back to the writing and playing it took awhile to get my "chops" back.

Re: Police Poor Performance
Hi Matt - I'm trying to play guitar again (1 1/2 years in) after 17+ years away, and some hand & muscle injuries. Determination is the only thing that keeps me going, since I definitely on't have the savant thing working in my favor! The Police video was really great to see - I love watching rehearsals and sound checks anyway, just to remind myself that everyone needs to work at their craft at every level -
