My First Forward!!! Dramatic Instrumental

Post by timbehrens » Tue Feb 10, 2009 11:04 am

I've been a member here for two years, have been lurking for longer, learning from all you wonderful folks and daydreaming while listening to all the great work that gets forwarded here. After all this time and struggling to figure things out, I finally got my first forward today. What an incredible feeling. I really can't describe....http://www.taximusic.com/stream/204375/ ... ent.mp3I'm going to sit here for a bit and be giddy, then I guess it's back to work. Thanks to all the folks who gave me advice on how to make this piece better. I'm still working on it and hope to incorporate all that feedback into future endeavors, too.

That's fabulous news, CONGRATS!!!!! This is just the beginning!! Interesting textures, a sense of anticipation, and yet unique. Sort of a melancholy intensity in the B section, that creates tension. Really like the build. Very well done and very 'film composer-ish'.Kudo's!!!

Interesting piece. Really like the perc vibe towards the middle. From the sound of this, your 2 year drought should not continue. I am inspired by your perseverance, some people would have packed it in and write a 5 page rant about taxi. (not sure if that grammar is correct, but you get the idea...)Congrats! Best Regards77
