Yippee! this song means a lot to me and evidently it hit the screener. It may be off for the listing, but to me, it's more important that somebody felt that je ne sais crois! I tried to post the song, to no avail. It's called Can't You See? Maybe somebody here knows how to access it. I tried...the critique:hey there ellen -- CAN'T YOU SEE? is a very compelling track. the air of mystery, loss, & magic is a strong mix. i think this song could probably stand a few different rearrangements including one that will work for the artist this listing is for. CAN'T YOU SEE? is gonna be forwarded so good luck from here out.the listing:ROOTS/AMERICANA SONGS WITH EDGE in the range of Alison Krauss, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Gillian Welch, etc. are wanted by a Nashville producer who is producing a project for a 24 year old female artist. These songs can have flavors of Steve Earle and Robert Plant, but be sure the lyrics/perspectives are appropriate for a young female to sing. He's only looking for songs that are mid to uptempo, with "bite". A strong groove and memorable hooks are essential and be sure the tone doesn't lean too far toward Country

Congrats!! I would love to hear it. Americana is probably my favorite genre. Can you post a link to your Taxi page by chance? We could then find it in your catalog.

Thanks everyone! What you said, Lyricboy, is true. I started writing songs out of the blue during a tough time in my life and never intended to even make a CD, so this is all icing on the cake. As for the production, I am singing this one, but not playing any of the instruments. It was arranged and produced in NY by my teacher, Tony Conniff, also the bass player. The guitarist is Larry Saltzmann also out of NY. They are both great guys; super-talented, professional and fun to be around. And thanks Cam for being my first fan. I'm touched! (or tetched).
