2/2 Modern Classical/Orchestral

Post by crystallions » Thu Jan 15, 2009 5:27 am

I am excited to say that both of the pieces I submitted to the following listing were forwarded. "UNIQUE, MODERN CLASSICAL/ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS in the wide range of Philip Glass, Michael Nyman, James Horner, John Cage, Hans Zimmer, Steve Reich, Thomas Newman, etc. are needed by an established Music Licensing company .... "The pieces are "Pendragon" and "Legends_Old". A couple of days ago I reworked Legends based on a critique I received from TAXI some months ago so I have posted the new version as well for those of you that would like to compare. For the new version (which is titled "Legends") I added real vocal and cut out the drone for most of the piece. I also reworked the EQ as well as changed the mix to try to make it less muddy in the low register. http://www.taximusic.com/hosting/home.p ... dialashton~ Lydia

Lydia, you've been getting some great news to start off this 2009 year-- congratulations! This "Legend" piece of yours is really lovely-- I like the dramatic ending too. Very haunting, enchanting-- I love what you said on your website: "Haunting vocals and an energetic cello line that never stops - just in case someone is following..." Gives you a super vibe about the piece.Congratulations too on Pendragon. Sword of His Father. You're headed for some high stars, Lydia, and it's a lot of fun to watch!! Congratulations again!! Raags

well done Lydia, much deserved! I wish i had your screener on this because mine were returned because they were too 'dramatic' and more of a zimmer/Gladiator feel....just like your Pendragon.
