Orchestral Instrumental Forward (1 of 3)
I had one of my three pieces forwarded to the following listing:ORCHESTRAL INSTRUMENTALS IN A VARIETY OF STYLES are needed by a Music Publisher who has signed several TAXI artists/writers and has secured dozens of great Film/TV placements. This company has fantastic relationships with music supervisors for TV shows/films on ABC, NBC, the CW, HBO, Disney, MGM, Sony, Fox, Paramount plus many others. This company is in need of a vast range of stylistic approaches/eras and the parameters are wide open for this one, as long as the sounds are authentic and the arrangements/performances are fantastic. Public Domain works will be fine, as well as original compositions. There are no stylistic limitations here, but be sure the tracks are at least two minutes in length and that they are recorded at Broadcast Quality. It isn't necessary for these to be "live" orchestral recordings, but you'll want to be very sure that any synth-generated sounds really present like the real deal. Instrumentals only, please. You can submit one to three songs online or per CD. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than December 11, 2008. TAXI #Y081211INOddly, one of the pieces, Cue the Tears, was not forwarded even though it has been forwarded several times in the past. The mini-critique indicated that the strings were not real enough sounding. I'm okay with that remark as I've been using GPO for the past five years. I just think that even sample quality seems to be subjective from screener to screener.Just wait until I get my EWQLSO Gold chops up to speed! Anyway, here is the piece that did get forwarded:Sequinshttp://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_id=1116 ... =trueSteve

That is a really fun piece! I loved the vibe. Congrats. I also sent in 3 for this one, the one that got rejected has already been forwarded last month to another company. These critiques seem like crap shoots sometimes. I guess we're at the mercy of the mood of the listener. Lessoned learned, just keep sending em in. You never know.B

Congrats, Steve! Did you submit this one in the past? I think I remember this track!
