Quote:Richard Carpenter?Doh! Jesus the Carpenter? These Carpenter answers are starting to get on my nerves! Karen sure had a sweet voice, though, but I don't think she had the balls as a drummer to play on "Instant Karma". Besides, Lennon would have beaten Richard within an inch of his life for being, well, Richard!Ern

Right guy, Ern, so I'll give it to youse. I was actually thinking of: What is BEST OF THE BEATLES? JohnnyDean showed us he knew who it was to, but didn't actually try to answer. For that stirling noneffort he wins the right to play bass on John Lennon's next album!

For that stirling noneffort he wins the right to play bass on John Lennon's next album!Well Ed,I have to say I am mortified not to have been awarded the win on this one.You don't seem to have any perception of how difficult it is to avoid giving the right answer and then to think of a truly negative answer. However c'est la vie as they say in Outer Mongolia.Just a couple of small points, the word "to" when used in the context you did (as well as ) is spelt "too"and George Harrison asked me last week to play Bass on his next album and I have agreed and out of a strong sense of loyalty I wouldn't play on John's because George asked me first!J
