"Swamp Rock" forward!

Post by keithl » Wed Dec 24, 2008 11:00 am

going out with a bang in '08!http://www.taximusic.com/stream/189971/ ... 0Swamp.mp3(try it a couple times if it doesn't work the first time)ROCK CUES (SONGS AND INSTRUMENTALS) NEEDED for a couple of new reality shows slated to air on the world's largest music cable network. The Music Supervisor for these shows needs to hear a variety of "gritty rock" - styles can range from Rockabilly, Punk, Swamp Rock, Metal, Southern Rock, etc. The pace needs to be fast and the tone should be wacky, high energy, dirty and fun. You can think in the reference range of Black Flag, Hank Williams III, Suicidal Tendencies, Reverend Horton Heat, Social Distortion, Minutemen, etc. Songs with vocals and instrumentals will be considered - be sure the tempos are fast and the vibe is gritty and "down & dirty"....and last chance to grab my christmas song!http://www.5151music.com/christmas

Nice work! I had two forwarded, as well. "The Grind" and "Snack Attack" on my page at www.taxi.com/dandiaz

Thanks, I was definitely going more for the punk and metal part of the description rather than the swamp, and it's actually the stock Superior 2.0 kit. Drumkit From Hell is another cool one though.I liked your track, too! Nice work.-D

Another great track. I submitted to this one but it got returned and after hearing your track as well as the others posted on here, I have a much better understanding of why (wasn't "gritty' or 'swampy' enough). Here's hoping '09 is another rockin' year for ya!- Big Blueps - LOVE the Christmas tune, thanks for sharing!
Imagine a steel cage match between Daughtry, Coldplay, Paramore and Demon Hunter with Joe Satriani as the referee...
