Thanks Ern, well I can't get the forward just yet not a Taxi member. I want to join but the exchange rate isn't helpful. I haven't had that much success yet barely getting radio play, have a few ringtones digital downloads. But I pressing on, I'm proud of this song too.

Quote:Here's one.......ShamanessWow, Tom! Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner on this (I've been away) --- Shamaness is very cool! Love the meditative mood and the singer. Once again, what language is that? And on the high vocal stuff, is the singer's vocal electronically processed or did she really sing that high? Great work --- makes me think of another piece of mine that I'll post.Best Regards,Ern

Hey guys,I recorded a CD, SOLAR SYSTEM FANTASIES awhile ago, and the final cut is entitled Approaching The Sun. It's an Eastern meditative "sound painting," and I just remastered it. I hope you enjoy it --- it's fun to listen to on headphones! http://www.box.net/shared/4l7n78fkdeErn

Well, up walks this woman and she is complimenting me on the music. She introduces herself as Taressa Bell and goes on to say she is also a singer. Then she starts in about how I was playing the type of music she has always been hearing in her head and that so far has been unsuccessful at conveying that to other musicians. She then goes on to explain that she "channels" music. So of course the little sound goes off in my head that this could very well be a potential nut job. I politely exchange numbers with her and said "we'll get together sometime". Months went by and for some reason I decided to call her up and arrange a little jam session. I guess more out of curiosity then anything. It's not everyday a musician comes up to you and says they are channeling music right? I knew she was one of two things. One, she was really God awful horrible and the other scenario was that she might possibly be pretty good. I didn't think there would be any in between with her.I was somewhat not looking forward to hearing the first sounds out of her mouth because then how do you tactfully tell someone they sound dreadful?I said, I didn't really have anything in mine to play so I just fired up all of my equipment and said I was just going to improvise and what ever happens........happens.So I started playing and immediately her appearance sort of took on a whole other look. Her hands started moving in a very elegant sort of Tai Chi movement and then her eyes closed and went into a rapid eye movement.Right about now I really don't know what to think Then the sound came out of her mouth.........Unbelievable! Every single sound that came out of her was astounding considering I had no idea what to expect. I got goosebumps........Her range was off the charts and the tonal characteristics shifted effortlessly.Oh yeah her eyes at one point did roll back into her head to boot...... The amazing range and control she had was awesome. What you heard was a live one take track. She had absolutely no effects on her voice at all and the track was never altered or mastered.I'm pretty sure her language was her own sort of like Lisa Gerrard of Dead Can Dance makes her own language of phonetics. There are two other tracks on my site with her from the same jam session. One is called Ceremony and the other is Lost City. Thanks For Listening
