green...

Hi allJust a few questions... I can sometimes be a bit dof (in colloquial English, that means dumb):1. I had a look at adding a pic to my profile. It says use the avator thing-mabob. Are you just supposed to upload a whole webpage even if it's more than an image, or am I missing something here?2. Is it cool to send members to a myspace link to listen to music you want to have reviewed, or is it just better to go in-house and use Taxi? Thanks Techno-Buffs. The stuff changes so quickly I can hardly keep up (and I'm not THAT old).Cheers

Hiya robrich-- I think MySpace is fine for music previews. I just listened yesterday to someone who did that, and to me it is no different than sending someone to Broadjam or another external site. In fact, for me it is better because the Taxi streaming file always switches me over to my iTunes player so I have to juggle applications. Regarding the avatar, you don't need to upload a whole web page, just the .jpg or .gif image you want to use. It can be hosted anywhere, including myspace, you just need a direct path to the image. For example, if I wanted to link to a picture from my own myspace page it would be http://b4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/0044 ... 6774_l.jpg (To get the image location if you're not sure, I'm using the Safari browser, and I just option-clicked the image and selected "copy image location". There is most likely a similar option in Explorer if you're on a windows machine.)Cheers-- and Welcome to the Taxi Forums!

Welcom robrich!DJ has it all right. Just follow his instructions to get a pic as your avitar. I'm too lazy to go and get one so I just used a common one.You can pretty much link to any music related site that has your music.Best,Cisco
