Dispatch Question

Post by timmerblakely » Thu Dec 06, 2007 2:51 am

Hi all,I know that Dispatch is a premium Taxi service that you pay extra for and i know that the listing there are on much shorter deadlines. What types of listings are most frequently on the Dispatch list? Is there any pattern? Is it a similar sample of the regular Taxi listings? Mostly instrumentals?Thank you,Timmer

Timmer, Anyone can view the dispatch listings. (I get them emailed to me without being a member of dispatch)They are primarily film/tv, but not exclusively. As for genre, they are all over the place.Rob

Its a pretty good cross section and they're very similar to the regular listings. They obviously have a quicker deadline and some have a bit more focused direction thematicly (ie-looking for a punk/rock songs for an Indie film about teenage bank robbers, as they prepare for their heist, in the style of etc. etc.) Often there is no difference from a regular listing. In fact, sometimes the dispatch listings are re-run weeks later during the regular listings. They just run the dispatch to get a jump on material

Deadlines are usually 2 to 5 days, sometimes 1. The requests vary, there is a lot of film/tv. I got the emails for several months before I made the decision to invest in Dispatch. If you have any questions about TAXI Dispatch, please call Chris Baptiste @ 1-800-458-2111 from 9 to 6, PDT (West Coast). You can also e-mail Chris at cb@taxi.com

Thanks Rob & Vikki for this info - I didn't realize this was possible - I like the idea of taking part in a dispatch challenge in the future! - in the meantime I'll get a feel for the listings.Best wishes,Rachel
