Who helps your career?

Post by arkjack » Tue Nov 20, 2007 10:22 am

Actually, I am getting ready to visit relatives for a few days and won't be online... I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving, and special thoughts and prayers for Walt and squidlips, and whoever else has had some trials this past year.... and especially for Jimi..... you must be at your wits end..... so come on Abram.... And I was thinking about all the work and pain I've been through last year, and all the places I've surfed that tout.... "we'll help you in your songwriting career...." and then see what have they actually done, ....except just exist as some "networking" organization or my PRO.... And then TAXI ..... which is the real deal,..... and a group of folks who are genuinely interested and have really helped in moving my career forward..... so even though its blatant brown-nosing.... special thanks goes out to the screeners and Michael Laskow.... Have a great one folks....ArkJack

Hello Arjack and All,Maybe this is as good a post as any for us all to say thanks for what we have received this last year. For my part I have to say thanks to my lovely wife for supporting my goals as a songwriter. I also want to say thanks to all those lovely folks I met this year at the convention. I also am thankful for being within 5 months of being completely debt free!Happy Thanksgiving and take good care!Cisco

Thanks arkjack......all y'all be safe traveling and enjoy a lovely family time, heah? Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for thinking of us, it means a lot to me. I'm grateful for hubby (who's enduring changes with real grace and who's been workin' hard on his marriage for a while now so yay for men who try!), the kids (awesome every day), the pets (too many but gotta love 'em), old friends, wonderful new friends (all y'all know I'm talkin' about you, right? ) and most importantly, good health for those of us who have it and fortitude and spirit for those who do not enjoy that luxury at this time.Happy Thanksgiving, Dots and various new forum friends! (you too, cisco!)

Ted, you're so sweet. I hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving in your beautiful town too. My folks live in Las Cruces......some six hour drive from you but should I ever make it over there, maybe we can find a way to meet up for lunch in your town (don't wanna say where, don't have permission). Meantime, an extra special Happy Holidays to you, Ted.
