First Forward

Post by tommystavros » Fri Dec 05, 2008 1:25 pm

DANCE/HOUSE/CLUB SONGS WITH VOCALS a la Axwell, StoneBridge, Shapeshifters, etc. are wanted by a Music Publisher with tons of Film/TV placements. This company has fantastic relationships with music supervisors for TV shows/films on ABC, NBC, the CW, HBO, Disney, MGM, Sony, Fox, Paramount plus many others, and has already signed a dozen TAXI writers. Great performances are a must, along with lyrics that are universal enough to pitch to several different shows/storylines - male or female vocals are just fine. Please, no profanity or uncleared samples. They offer a non-exclusive contract (they re-title your song & you keep the copyright). Broadcast quality needed, but excellent-sounding home recordings should be okay. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened and critiqued by TAXI and must be received by November 5, 2008. TAXI #S081105DAHi all,So I got my first forward with "I Need Money" (http://www.myspace.com/tommystavros)I’ve read plenty of posts here to know that it's not much of an achievement, but man that first forward sure inspires! And the best way to celebrate something like that - buy Cubase 4.5! Cheers!Former Cubase SX 3.1 user

Don't shortchange yourself on that forward though... they're not "givens" or easy and there's been plenty of forum members over the years that have made huge flaming forum/Taxi exits simply on the basis that they couldn't get forwarded.Glad you're not doing a flaming exit and here's to hoping for that second forward... so you can pre-order that new Maserati!

Thanks guys. I got my second forward today for #S081110RB with "Out of Time".http://www.taximusic.com/artist/tommystavrosThis was a big surprise, since it's not exactly on target with the R&B listing. #246 labeled the track as "Hard to classify" and decided to forward it because he/she liked the production/instrumentation. I'm guessing that for Film/TV placement listings, extra time spent on production and engineering can compensate for a lot of things... Thank you, Listener #246!S081110RBPOP/R&B SONGS WITH VOCALS a la Beyonce, Rihanna, will.i.am., Fergie, Ne-Yo, Chris Brown, etc. are wanted by a Music Publisher with tons of Film/TV placements.
