how do you handle the number of songs on broadjam?

hi folks,I just noticed that I was somehow productive during the last few month (since I joined taxi) and just got 16 song-slots left on broadjam.How do you handle the number of songs on your broadjam account..? Do you kick off older tracks in order to free up some spots for new ones? Or do you just upgrade your broadjam-membership?thanks,Martin

Hey Martin,I've got the regular MOB (50 songs), and it's about filled up. So I kick off songs that are not relevent anymore.Some people with MOB memberships complain about the lack of editing the ORDER of the songs, but that's not true. Here's how you do it:Click on "My Profile"Click on "Songs: Edit"Click on "Sort My Songs"They've made it even easier now by assigning a number to the order that you want your song in.Ern

Hi Martin,For a while we took off older songs that always seemed to be returned. Or if we made listing specific montages we took those off of Broadjam. But then eventually we did upgrade our account so we could add more songs. Sometimes the extra money is worth not having to anguish over what songs make the cut. -Theresa

Ah, for some reason I was thinking you had done all that in one month. Even so, compared to my level of productivity it's impressive. What slows me down is not the writing... it's the recording process. I get stuck on small, unimportant things like, for example, an edit that isn't perfect. I might spend 2 hours on this edit, and it would be something that no one would hear anyway.

I've found so far that the TAXI screeners ears are a bit sharper than mine in hearing the little imperfections.... I can feel yyour pain on agonizing over the details....

Dude, Martin, you are a beast. 35 songs for TAXI? I've written maybe 3 songs in that time period...

I have "default-projects" in cubase SX where all the routing, FX, EQs etc is already set. Now I just need to compose, record it. The mix is done within about 30 min since I have all settings already on the start and just need to adjust a little. Also I try to play/record at least 2 hours a day - this keeps the playing-routine up and therefore I'm faster with recording.cheers,Martin

That's a very good idea. I'm going to try that out. I'm only really now at the point with recording that I know what my default settings should be. dave
