YIPPEEE!!! FORWARDED TO MAJOR LABEL!!!

I just had three of my songs forwarded to another major jazz label in NYC!!AHHHHH I have now offically had my music sent two 7 major labels!!!This forward marks my 18th forward with TAXI!! I have landed a library deal, a compilation CD licensing deal with Amy Winehouse and Duffy in Europe, and a deal as a staff composer for the production company that provides music to a huge day-time talk show.Now if only some of these major labels would call Just kidding! Hey Anj,When I did my little Taxi visit, I was stunned (in a good and impressive way) by the names I saw in the back room... Taxi does business with every major label that I know of and then things trickle down from there. It's all so impressive... almost surreal. Awesome forward and awesome deals! Dave

How much trouble could a lurking person or persons cause for the company mentioned (i.e. "You took his/her music, why not mine??? ) ? For a small library or publisher with only one or two staff people... one or more phone calls like that could really be problematic. If the company is Sony Nashville... the "lurker" in question couldn't even get past the receptionist (who handles thousands of phone calls each day)... so no problem.That's the basic idea. You get music on CSI or a major label thing... no problem to mention the name. You get a library deal or small publishing deal... better to leave the name out.
