Maybe you can do it a la Hendrix.

You can always tell the pro's from the semi's.The question should read.Who's "working" New Year's Eve?

After about 20 New Year's Eve gigs, I finally had to say "No mas."Maybe Danny Thomas had something to do with it --- Ern

I stopped counting around ten. The last one I did was funny. It was a last minute gig playing keys with a reggae band that would back a whole bunch of different artists. There were a lot of the Bay Area's Jamaican reggae stars there. When it came time to count down, one of the artists went up to the mic, looked at his watch and started a count down, ten to one, happy new year. We started the first song of the new year. But then a couple minutes later, another artist looked at his watch and it said 11:58 so he took the mic, stopped the band and started the count down, happy new year... again. And then, no kidding a 3rd artist started a countdown until someone in the band went up to him and he was like, Oh really? but my watch says... Funniest new year's gig. How about you guys? Swap stories? Or should I take this to a new thread?

Well....Our gig went so well, we're playing at Chaser's the third weekend of every month. So, if you're in the neighborhood on Friday, January 19th or Saturday, January 20th, feel free to come on in and say hi. I'd sure love to see you guys.No cover - just prepare to be seriously rocked. We don't pull any punches, that's for sure... Nomi - sorry I didn't have any funny new year's gigs to contribute. They're always fun but I can't remember a particular one that stands out...
