Chords and lyrics (and Flavor of the Week)

Post by Casey H » Mon Sep 18, 2006 1:04 am

HiAnyone else out there do like I do and look up guitar chords and lyrics for songs you like using google? Jeeees... Sometimes it's great, esp. on lyrics.... But many of the guitar chords given are soooo dead wrong. Frustrating!!! Although, I shouldn't complain... the Internet allows us to find all this stuff free, basically not legally... In the old days I used to go to music stores, pick up books which I couldn't afford to buy, and memorize as many chords as I could before I got home!!! Learned a lot of songs that way.OK, anyone out there familiar with the song "Flavor of the Week" by American Hi-Fi? I found tons of guitar tabs on it. Many show it only with power chords (E5, B5, etc)... I am not much of a power chord guy, I play more standard chords. So let's see.... Many charts have the song starting in E (F with capo) on the power chord E5... Another claims it's really played on the record in C... Another has an acoustic version on which the chords seem pretty close? but shows it in the key of D or Eb (with capo).I got frustrated yesterday and spend hours playing along with it and figuring out the chords that work best for me. It's in the key of Bb!!!! (A + capo for me)... So, if any of you out there would like to see how I charted it and tell me what you think, I'd appreciate it. "Charted" to me just means words with chord names, nothing fancy.Any help out there? CaseyPS I LOVE THIS FREAKIN' SONG!!!
