Thanks for the advice Matto and Casey.I did contact Taxi about the adaptation of the Satie piece and they replied (very quickly) saying Taxi only accepted submissions of original pieces as most companies shy away from potentially costly rights clearance. I'm going to try to shop the song directly to libraries instead.My question about when a song is in the public domain still stands though.I thought it was 75 years after the composers death.
