Broadjam Sound (rubbish)
Is it my imagination or is Broadjam sounding even more crap than usual. Also I know I'm not one to complain but their broadjam to Website links don't seem to be talking to each other and their customer services don't seem to be talking to me!I am sure somebody will tell me how good they are.

Hi,My perception on the sound quality of the Broadjam files is the same as yours. It may be the new player they use but there is a certain amount of swishy-swirly distortion that I don't want to have anything to do with. I stopped using Broadjam because of what I was hearing.Dave

Re: Broadjam Sound (rubbish)
Hmmm, I've got a lot of different stuff on Broadjam and they all sound pretty good to me (and I'm a picky recording engineer). When I've heard that "swirly" sound before, it was because of a firewall on my computer. As a matter of fact, I just uploaded a little piano ditty named "Amy," because I'm trying to figure out if I stole it from someone or wrote it myself! --- There is a little "chorus" effect on the piano, so that's intentional.http://www.broadjam.com/ernstinenMost of my stuff is symphonic, but there's rock tunes and electronica also. --- Anyway, check out "Amy" and let me know if I ripped it off or not! Thanks in advance,Ern

I love your work Ern "especially" the symphonic and as for Amy,it's a really nice piece of (Ragtime)?I don't think you have stolen it,I think it sounds derivative because it's so good.Excellent sound too.J.

It seems the consensus so far is that it's not stolen, which is good. Remember when George Harrison got sued for "My Sweet Lord?" Boy, did they take him to the cleaners! Not that I have many sue-able assets, though --- Ern

Cool tune. Sounds familiar but maybe it's just in a distinct style.I've had a melody stuck in my head for about ten years that I never used because I keep thinking it's someone else's. I still don't know.BTW my songs sound fine on Broadjam. I'd suspect either your computer or your mix.

Ern,Just a side note re: My Sweet Lord....What a lot of people don't know, is that George's Producer recognized the rip-off early on, but didn't say anything. He then had a falling out with George, who fired him. The producer then proceeded to purchase the original copyright before the album was released, and it was the original producer who did the suing,,,the original writer got nothing.MidniteThanx, Johnny! It seems the consensus so far is that it's not stolen, which is good. Remember when George Harrison got sued for "My Sweet Lord? Boy, did they take him to the cleaners!
