Pop-Rock Forward...

Post by santa » Sat Nov 01, 2008 1:27 am

I usually keep to Myself, but it's true that getting a forward really makes you want to go out there and let everyone know! I'm very proud about this one. Sorry for not including the song, if someone can show me how to do this, I definitely will add a link or something...D081027PRFUN, UPBEAT POP-ROCK/POP-PUNK SONGS a la Good Charlotte meets Green Day (great Pop/Punk/Rock, with positive lyrics), McFly, My Chemical Romance, Simple Plan, The Veronicas, Bowling For Soup, Paramore, etc. are needed urgently by an established Indie Label who is releasing a project for a band with members that span a wide age range (10-30ish) - their primary audience will be the “tween” crowd, so lyrics need to be appropriate. Lyrics can range from the point of view of family values from either parent or kid perspective to crushes, surf/skate, having fun, hanging with friends, dreams, school, romance, etc. Humor is welcome, but be sure the lyrics are clean and the concepts will connect to the target audience range. REALLY catchy Chorus hooks and uptempo/high energy music will really make the difference here - be sure the sound is more Pop than Punk, more fun than angry/angst. Nothing too serious for this one. A current and cutting edge sound and upbeat lyrical approach will catch the most attention - they need radio hits and will be focused on securing the singles. Please send your very best... we’ll need to be VERY selective here and send only what fits the request exactly. Male or female vocals are just fine. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. All submissions will be screened on a YES/NO BASIS - NO CRITIQUES FROM TAXI - and must be received no later than Noon PST on October 27, 2008. TAXI #D081027PR

Congrats santa! Here's how to post a link to your song if you're hosting it with TAXI:http://www.taximusic.com/song.php?song_ ... rueReplace the 6 * symbols with the ID number of your song which can be found by going to your TAXI profile page and hovering your mouse over the play buttons for the song you're wanting to link. In the bottom of your browser, if your status bar is enabled, you should see a link that looks something like this: javascript:playSong("/stream/168666/Amazing Grace.mp3","Amazing Grace");The number I hightlighted in blue represents the ID number for your song. So just swap out that number for your song where the 6 * symbols are in the link above and that should link to your song on your TAXI profile.Congrats!- Big Blueps - I also got forwarded for this one - http://taxi.proboards27.com/index.cgi?a ... read=10296

If it works for you folk, that's great, otherwise if you can tell me what I'm dong wrong, I would appreciate.By the way, Bigblue, I noticed you got forwarded on the same listing, so congrats to you! hey Santa, what browser are you using? The problem could be with how your browser/computer is set to handle .m3u files (Streaming Mp3 files). I was able to check out your song. VERY nice punk feel to it. Is that you singing?- Big Blue

Thanks for the comments. Must be the fact I'm using Explorer. I'll try later from another computer. And no, that' s not me singing. I have to hire singers on my demos because I know that my own voice would just chase everyone away!
