I've mentioned it on other threads. Sometimes you have old songs lying around that weren't great songs but you can make 30, 60, or 90 seconds of film/TV instrumental from the backing track without vocals:"...So what I always suggest to a lot of these guys that have songs lying around is to open up the song, drop the vocals, and make a 90-second mix edit of the song. Because now you have an instrumental track that is perfect for library usage, and you still have your full vocal track, which is good for other uses.
