Q's about lyrics sheets

Hey all-I'm preparing to submit my first Taxi song ever (yay!), for listing #Y060922NS. I have a few questions regarding the lyric sheet:1. Is is typical to include what the backup vocals are singing? How are they delineated?2. What do you call the part between the verse and the chorus? I've heard it called a lift, transition, pre-chorus, and even 1st/2nd/3rd bridge.3. Do you write out slang pronunciations?3. Andre,When the background vocals are repeating the lead lyrics, there is no need to include them. I've found it important when pitching to make your lyrics as simple and short as possible. Pre-chorus or setup seem to be the most commonly used terms, I would strongly advise against "bridge" as this is usually reserved for the...ahem...BRIDGE Quote:3. Do you write out slang pronunciations?Personally I find "slang pronounciation" annoying and hard to read, I would always write "giving" even though everybody says "givin'"But that's just a personal preference, and I think it depends on the style of music to some degree.Quote:4. Since this song's bridge is actually a rap over the verse chord progression, I suppose I could label it that way instead. It does feel more like a bridge, though, in the way it directs the song.Andre
