Quantum Leap sound library good for edm/hiphop? and which World Music library?
Was going to go with NI Komplete but changed my mind.
Anyone have experience with the Quantum Leap sound library? Is it enough for replying to edm and hiphop listings?
Different question, which world music library has absolutely everything, never need to buy another?

None of them really if you are doing multiple genres. One of the sync training courses has a list of recommended libraries that they use. These are people actually making a living from it so it's not just a theoretical list, it's what they use. As you can see you need a lot less to make EDM than say Orchestral stuff. None of them list Omnisphere which is a good all rounder.AudiniAudio wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 7:54 pmDifferent question, which world music library has absolutely everything, never need to buy another?

Yes but the same can apply to anything...
I can borrow my wife's high end pro camera and still take shit photographs - that's because I've never studied photography and I know nothing about image composition, exposure, depth of field, lighting, editing etc.
The camera doesn't create the art, the photographer does. The tools are just a means to an end. To be good at anything you have to put the work in as well as have the right tools for the job. And the less natural aptitude you have the more work you need to put in to even out the playing field.

None of those seem to be "World Music" libraries. You know; sitars, ouds, rebabs, ney flutes, didgeridoos, gamelans, piphat, koto, shakuhachi, bansuri, tamboura, tabla, doumbek, bata,... Unless I'm missing something. World music is not for EDM or for hiphop but your response does seem to answer the first question. Anyone able to answer the second question which world music library has nearly everything?

Yeah it's much more of a niche, looking at one the 'big' libraries where there's 57k tracks and only 1700 are world music compared to 7k EDM tracks
