Question about Dystopian Christmas Piano

It just occurred to me that you might be reading as distortion what I deliberately added to make the piece sound weird. At least, I hope that's what is going on there!

well I had a listen to it again, and it seems to me as if there's an audio processing on it, that went a bit too far. It might be an extra compression, or some extra added saturation, or even a limiter to make it sound louder.
I find it very hard to get a nice sounding piano without distorting at some frequencies. So I suppose the trick is to use multiple compressors, but each having a slight effect (a maximum of 2dB of GR)
I don't know, that's my take, and I hope I'm wrong.

Yours is lovely, Edmond! I hope you get a forward! It definitely has a deep and dark feel to it!
Yours didn't have any distortion and now I'm hoping mine isn't too badly off to miss a forward!
