Question about track length on Hawaiian Slack Key Instrument

Post by JosieQ » Tue Nov 17, 2015 3:16 pm

Wondering if we need to add more to a cue. Specifically, the listing said "at least 2 minutes long" and "a natural fade at the end". What I have clocks in at about 1:53 when I play the final chord, but it comes to 2:00 when I let it ring. Add more? let it be?

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry about it when a listing says "at least 2 minutes long" because it's not like an advertising piece of exactly 30 or 60 seconds. The close ballpark (within reason!!) is usually fine. Since it rings out to 2 minutes you should be OK anyway.

No worries! On to the next cue and good luck!

I agree with Casey.

However, Sometimes my ring-out falls short of 2min then I will turn my project BPM down just a tiny bit to make it. If you are too worried you could try that.
