Congrats Bob this is HUGE!

I must say I'm so glad you were able to do a soundalike that worked for them...imagine if this great deal had fallen thru because the song was in multiple libraries. It's quite common in advertising for a company to want an exclusive in their particular field (and that exclusivity usually comes with a premium licensing fee 8-) ) so your little story should definitely give people pause about placing their songs in 10 different libraries. ;)

It's a beautiful piece and an excellent choice on their part...can't wait til it starts airing.
Make sure you report this to Taxi, this is BIG news!

That's a fantastic story - I'm sure the professionalism of getting things done in a timely matter made a big impression.

What did you use to create this little track?

It sound great. Congratulations.

bob
thanks for the story and encouragement to hang in there. hope this helps some of the newer members get some perspective how this whole thing works.I see some of them(just like I was) ready to give up after a year with taxi and a handful of returns. it takes along time to hook the really big fish. great deal and great piece also.good luck in 2010

OMG, Bob-- this is enormous! :D :D :D

I've been away from the boards these past six weeks, and I just popped online to read your incredible story. WOW!!! Way to MOVE and get on the ball when you saw the opportunity. And it is yet another example/story of why we should stick with exclusivity. What a great story-- I can't wait to hear your stuff!! Just wait 'til you get paid for this one!!!! YAY!!!!!

Cheers to you,
Raags
