It was wonderful to hear you play guitar (and One Note Samba on Uke, too!), Chuck! You got major skills, in addition to articulating thoughts about the Taxi experience so clearly, especially:

"Feeling the pride of hearing about and seeing the success of my friends. We are not alone in our journey, nor are we competitors. (amazing in itself!!!)"

There is such a generosity of spirit in this Taxi clan; I love being a part of it! And I hope you present another class next year. I always learn important things from you!

Great post Chuck - your class was one of my biggest highlights and totally fired me up.
Thanks for that, and being the wonderful person you are.

Hey Chuck. It was nice meeting you and I thought your class was great. By the way, let us know how that 'calliope hiphop' works out for ya! ;)
Thanks again, and I'll hopefully see you again next rally...

Thanks for all of your comments.

We are truly blessed as a community to have an event like the Rally to join together and challenge each other, learn from each other and share some fellowship (code for running up a big bar tab)

We are on this journey together and all of our ships will rise with the tide.

When I reflect upon the many conversations about everything from gear, recording techniques, how to turn a guitar into a lap steel, book suggestions, virtual instruments, to our families and everything else under the sun, I'm overwhelmed.

I truly believe we are building relationships that will last a lifetime. That's pretty amazing!!

I doubt when Michael started TAXI eighteen years ago that he could have anticipated the range and depth of the community that has developed. And, we may be only touching the tip of the iceberg.

It was great to participate in all of the fun, food, fellowship, and foolishness last weekend and I look forward to Rally 2011.

Chuck,

It was great seeing you again this year and your class was excellent. Lot's of good practical steps we can all take to become more productive over the long haul. The Rally is such an outstanding event and participation on this Forum makes it all the more amazing. There are great panels and classes that go on each year and I really love them all. But for me the best part is getting the chance to see and catch up with all of the friends I have made over the last several years, exchanging ideas, laughing and learning from each other. I agree with you that we are developing relationships that will last a lifetime. And I consider myself fortunate to count you among them. Also, don't dismiss that Calliope HipHop idea. Could be the next big thing!

Peace,
Kurt

Chuck,

...as always - it was great to hang out with you at the Rally - I'm still breaking out in laughter every time I think about you, Jacqueline, Cisco and the squirrel episode... I may have cracked a couple ribs from laughing that hard...

Your class/workshop was wonderful as well. You reminded me a few things that I need to keep front and center in my thoughts while navigating this crazy music biz and you spoke some other wisdom that helped me see things from an entirely new perspective. Bravo!

I'll be invading NashVegas soon (in 2011) - hopefully we can connect there and continue where we left off. And I hope it goes without saying that you are, of course, welcome here in SeaTown anytime....

Dude, if we'd have met in our teens or early twenties - me thinks neither of us would have made it here alive ;-)

Is this a reference to "dying of laughter"

I think several of us came close last weekend.
